FLY Intro  

This is where you will start!  We train on a variety of vertical apparatuses from Aerial Yoga, Lyra, Pole and Silks.  This class is designed to introduce all the apparatuses, giving you the chance to tune into how your body feels moving on & around different apparatuses.  To kick off our 90-minute Intro class, we start with a warm-up, basic strength training and conditioning.  We then move to our first apparatus, Aerial Yoga.  In this section we guide you through the simplest movements.  Next, we move to the Lyra, keeping all movements low and grounded, learning to mount and dismount.  Last but not least, we finish with the pole!  We teach the most basic beginner moves, barely taking our feet off the ground.  Ending class, is the cool-down where we do basic stretches that are focused on areas where aerialist need it most.  You will be taught the proper technique for grips and muscle engagement through body awareness on all apparatuses, so by the end of class, you are comfortable and confident.  Now it’s your CHOICE where you want to begin your aerial journey!

EXPERIENCE: There is no experience required to attend this class.  Please read the “FAQs” section to answer any further questions concerning strength and other commonly asked questions when it comes to aerial fitness.

REQUIREMENTS:  It is mandatory to take the FLY Intro before taking any other classes or workshops. 

WHAT TO WEAR:  Studio/gym apparel or leggings are allowed in this class.
